2. Objectives
- Apply modern theories and methods of teaching to online education for high-school geography teachers to continuously improve their quality to meet the basic and comprehensive education innovation.
- To introduce and foster new modern teaching methods for high-school teachers.
3. Creativeness and innovativeness
- To build a number of specialties on fostering high-school teachers in the orientation of developing learners' capacity to meet fundamental and comprehensive reform of education.
- Regularly train teachers by online training methods with some modern and appropriate forms of teaching organization.
4. Research results
- The study of the theoretical basis on methods and means of teaching and online teaching form via the Internet. Explore the research and implementation of blended learning in some countries in the world, in Vietnam. Study issues related to regular training teachers in general and regular training geography teachers in particular. The current status of fostering high-school teachers in mountainous areas over the last years. Based on theoretical and practical research, the content and form of regular fostering of geography subject for high- school teachers has been proposed in terms of: (1) Online teaching combined with direct teaching, (2) Teaching the entire program online.
- To build contents of regular fostering, including 03 special topics on the orientation of developing learners' capacity, ensuring scientific contents, satisfying fundamental and comprehensive reform of education.
- Building website for regular fostering geography subject for high-school teachers to meet technical, art, pedagogical, interactive, ... requirements
- Propose some forms of online teaching organization for regular fostering geography subject: discussion, collaborative teaching, differential teaching, programmed teaching.
- Implement the test of regular training geography by online training form of geography subject for 90 people initially achieved good results. The survey of teachers' opinions on the form and content of regular fostering geography subject has received good appreciation.
